Kimberly tacked up her tall, Thoroughbred gelding in all running and jumping tack. The black horse snorted and nudged her as she put her helmet on over her head. She clipped it and then mounted the 16 hand brute. Triple Threat cantered slightly sideways with his neck arched. Kim brought him to the starting line and then shoved him into a gallop. Threat shot off the line and hurtled towards the first jump.
Triple Threat cleared the first 5 ft. bush easily. He landed with ease and Kim urged him on. The gelding sprinted on and leapt over the second. Five more to go. Kimberly let him do all the work wiht the jumps. Threat grunted as he went over a higher one but cleared it easily. Soon they just had to sprint the final stretch...

Lilo was warming up T.J. Hey! Can I join you? I'm Lilo. Nice horse you got there! Lilo smiled as she slowly rode toward the other girl. Lilo's blue tank top with a beautiful gelding looked exactly like the horse across from her. Hey, look! Your horse looks like this one. At the same time she pointed to it. Eh, do you come here often? This is my first time. T.J. neighed. Lilo got the cue that he came here to train, not talk.

Kimberly looked up and smiled, "No. This is my first time but I just moved here. I do a lot of things with racing and jumping." she said and smiled. Triple Threat pricked his ears at the other horse. "They do look a like, but I think Threat is a little taller." she said and smiled.

Kelsey walked onto the the track. Amanda was with her, but she was coaching, as she wasn't a very good jumper yet. Okay, I'll do my lap, and let me know what needs what Kelsey instructed, adjusting her helmet. Amanda nodded, moving to Night Dancer's head. Kelsey mounted up, and waited at the starting line. DING! Amanda said loudly. Kelsey kicked Dancer into a canter, and they popped over the first three jumps with ease. Then, Dancer lengthened her stride, when she shouldn't have, and put an extra step in before the jump. Kelsey began to panic, but calmed herself, looking at the jump ahead. She squeezed as she felt the mare leave the ground, and they cleared the brush, with a small stumble on the landing side. Kelsey completed the course, with no other faults. She cantered, then slowed to a trot as she passed two other girls. Hey. she said smiling, trying to be friendly. She trotted over to Amanda, who was a few yards away from the entrance gate. Kelsey dropped her irons. Well... Amanda started sarcastically. Yea yeah, i know, she got the wrong stride length. But we turned out ok. Kelsey said, patting the mare. Yeah, that too. But keep your heels down more, and bring your legs back a tinch. Amanda said, trying to sound helpful. Okie dokie. Kelsey replied. The girls looked across the way at the other two, and began chatting at the jumps and the track.

She wasn't planning on hitting the trails for a while, apart from the fact she had no clue where she was going, she knew Gucci would get more than excited and likely dump her in the nearest puddle before sprinting off and leaving her. She shrugged at the thought and instead, decided to gallop her Eventer on a race track. Strange? Most definently.
She sat tall and wrose up and down to the floaty beat of Gucci's trot. She has such a comfortable and springy trot which was common in most Arabs, except she was an Anglo. Sarah was a little unsure, she knew that Gucci would get competitive and face it? She would get absolutely thrashed in a race against a Thoroughbred. She shortened her reins and rode to the outside rail, there was no jumps here and Sarah felt at ease, it was rather quiet other than a rider or two. She relaxed and asked Gucci for a canter. The grey took big strides and it took no professor to guess she was excited. Sarah wanted to keep her back though, at least have a lap of a canter before asking for anything more. The brush jumps seemed rather large but Sarah did see some smaller ones in the other track which looked about 2ft-3ftish. She would perhaps practise some of her Cross-Country skill there. Perhaps, that is.
[ Just to let you know, not meaning to sound like a know at all or nothing but 5ft is massive! I doubt a Thoroughbred could take that at a gallop, the brush fences in races are like 4ft. I know a girl who rides a 17.2hh that JUST cleared a 5ft jump. But I mean, thats just me. It's your charrie. Sorry to nip-pick. ]
